The figure in the sea is The Warrior at Saddell Bay, near Campbeltown. I filmed it during a visit to the west coast of Scotland, and it stayed with me.
There was something about it that spoke to the idea behind The Rough Drafts: standing in the weather, facing uncertainty, and accepting that life does not always arrive calm, polished or complete.
The Rough Drafts is not about pretending the sea is flat. It is about learning how to stand, think, adapt and keep moving when the weather changes.
